Cotton grows naturally in various tones of sage and rich brown.
Since ancient times colored cotton has been grown by the indigenous peoples in many parts of the world. It grows naturally in various tones of sage and cinnamon. Following the invention of the cotton gin and industrial dyes during the industrial revolution, white cotton became solely dominant and native pigmented cotton almost completely disappeared. These naturally colored cotton plants were rediscovered only recently and they are now being used again to create the purest natural garments without using any dyes at all.
